Technology Licensing Preparation – Major Medical Technology Company

The client had developed a technology for use in its own products. It became apparent that there was an opportunity to license the technology to other companies in adjacent markets. Rasdal Associates was engaged to compile the business case, identify target partners and create the technical package for use by licensing partners.

Results
The licensing business case demonstrated the attractiveness of the technology licensing opportunity. Target partners were researched and identified. The client was an acquisition target and went through a restructuring when the project was about 75% complete. The project was halted due to budget cuts and resource redeployment prior to final completion of the technical package.
